Genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet, front seam and fixed loops, manufactured by McCord, shell number 661A. Original second type canvas chinstrap with steel buckle and hook. Most of the original paint is still present on both the inner and outer surfaces.
Comes with its original liner, manufactured by Westinghouse, retaining its khaki cotton web suspension and neckband, russet leather sweatband, blackened-brass A washers and leather chinstrap -- broken.
Nice homogeneous set, in very good overall condition.
