Helmet, M1, Fixed Loops, 90th Infantry Division, ST. CLAIR RUBBER CO. Liner
Genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet, front seam and fixed loops, manufactured by McCord, shell number hardly legible -- maybe 488. Early canvas chinstrap with brass buckle and hook.
The 90th Infantry Division has been painted on the outer surface.
Comes with a rare liner of the 'low pressure' type manufactured by St. Clair Rubber Co. (see yellow initials SC inked inside, at the bottom), which retains its khaki cotton web suspension and neckband, russet leather sweatband, plain A washers, and leather chinstrap. Laundry number T-9842 has been written on the inner surface.
Very good overall condition.
