Genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet, front seam and fixed bales, manufactured by McCord, shell number 371D. Original canvas chinstrap with steel buckle and hook.
The 28th Infantry Division insignia has been painted on the front; the white vertical bar painted at the rear of the shell indicates that its owner was an officer who served in the ETO.
Comes with an original liner, manufactured by International Molded Plastics, Inc., retaining its khaki cotton web suspension and neckband, russet leather sweatband, and OD-painted A washers.
Great homogeneous set, in good overall condition.
