Helmet, M1, Fixed Loops, Battle-Damaged, Vielsalm, Ardennes
€695.00
Tax included
Genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet, front seam and fixed bales, manufactured by McCord -- shell number illegible.
A round hole is located at the front of the shell, marking the entry point of a projectile (diameter: about 8mm).
Its liner, manufactured by Imperial Molded Plastics, Inc., also bears the stigma of the impact, showing a gaping hole (dimensions: 1.3in x 2in). All inner elements are missing, except the A washers -- oxidized.
Neither the shell nor the liner have any exit point.
Rare homogeneous set, found in Vielsalm, Belgium, a few miles west of Saint-Vith.
