Genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet, front seam and fixed loops, manufactured by McCord, shell number 127C.
Original early production canvas chinstrap with brass buckle and hook. Some laundry number, hardly legible, has been stenciled twice on the inner surface of the shell -- maybe B4664.
Comes with its original liner, manufactured by Westinghouse, retaining its khaki cotton web suspension and neckband, russet leather sweatband (unattached), OD-painted A washers, and leather chinstrap.
Nice homogeneous set, in good overall condition.
