Genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet, front seam and fixed loops, manufactured by McCord, shell number 153A.
Original canvas chinstrap with brass buckle and hook. The outer surface of the shell shows a 2nd Lieutenant rank insignia painted on the front.
This helmet comes along with its liner, of the scarce intermediary production type manufactured by Westinghouse, which retains its rayon suspension (damaged) and neckband, as well as plain rectangular washers.
Nice homogeneous set, in quite good overall condition.
