Genuine WWII US Army Medical Department sterilizer, made in stainless steel and intended for hypodermic needles. Manufactured by Pioneer, New York.
This small burner was part of the officer's and NCO's medical bag. It was dropped when the hypodermic syringe was replaced by expendable syrettes in the bag contents. See GI Collector's Guide, Vol. 2, page 189.
Complete and in very good overall condition.
