Booklet, Tag, Medical, Emergency, EMT, 1944

Scarce genuine WWII US Army Medical Department emergency medical tag booklet, to be carried by every Medic. Dated October 1st, 1944.

Each tag was to be filled with the sick or wounded soldier's basic information, detached and then tied to his clothes thanks to the string intended for this purpose, while the carbon copy remained attached.

The present booklet is in very good overall condition and retains most of its blank, untouched tags -- it seems that only three sheets have been detached, and their carbon copies are still present.
