Genuine WWII US Army M1936 field bag, khaki canvas, manufactured by The Byer Mfg. Co. Inc. and dated 1941. Issued in lieu of the haversack to officers and other personnel, such as airborne troops and armored crews...
The 29th Field Hospital landed on Utah Beach, France, 14 August 1944 set his instalation during the Battle of Brest, in very dangerous conditions. After the Liberation of Brest, the surgical team moved to Lison and Paris, then to Liège in Belgium where it continued to support actively the Allies during the Battle of the Bulge.
