A dog tag completes this interesting lot, issued to Lapinski, John, ASN 32922737, vaccinated against tetanus in 1943 and 1944, blood type O, Catholic.
John Charles Lapinski was born on October 7, 1923 in Bayonne, New Jersey and joined the US Army on May 18, 1943. He went on to serve with Company F, 358th Infantry Regiment, 90th Infantry Division, deployed to Europe and was killed in action in Normandy on July 23, 1944.
