Grouping, T/4 Walter Lafferty, Co. A, 128th Ordn. Maint. Bn., 6th Armored Division, ETO
Rare genuine WWII US Army grouping, which belonged to some Technician 4th Grade Walter Lafferty, 6th Armored Division, made up of the following items:
- pair of dog tags issued to Walter Lafferty, ASN 32265298, vaccinated against tetanus in 1942 and 1943, blood type A, Protestant, coming along with both bead chains;
- regulation 'Ike Jacket' retaining all original insignia -- 6th Armored Division shoulder sleeve insignia, Technician 4th Grade rank stripes, U.S. and Ordnance Department collar discs, ribbon bar (Good Conduct Medal and European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five Stars), Meritorious Service Unit Badge, Overseas Service Bars, Service Stripe, and 'Ruptured Duck'; label is dated December 16, 1944, size 36R;
- wool serge trousers, of the early production type lacking the gas flap; size 32 x 31; name Lafferty Walter and ASN 32265298 have been written inside;
- two flannel shirts adorned with the 6th Armored Division shoulder sleeve insignia and Technician 4th Grade rank stripes; one of these shirts also retains its Overseas Service Bars and collar tag; size 14 x 32;
- M1936 waist belt manufactured by Nasco Awnings and dated 1942;
- two OD garrison caps featuring the red and yellow piping of the Ordnace Department; size 6 ¾;
- two light khaki (chino) garrison caps, one of them featuring the light blue piping of the Infantry; size 6 ¾;
- a lot of various small personal belongings, such as a sewing kit, some belt buckles, collar discs and other miscellaneous insignia, as well as a religious souvenir bearing the effigy of Joan of Arc, and a couple of hancrafted lighters made from .50 caliber cases.

Walter Lafferty was born November 7, 1910 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and joined the US Army on April 13, 1942. He went on to serve with Company A, 128th Ordnance Maintenance Battalion, 6th Armored Division and deployed to Europe, where he participated in all major campaigns. He was discharged on October 16, 1945 as a Technician 4th Grade, and passed away on April 21, 1978.
