Jacket, Winter, US Army, Tanker Jacket, 3rd Armored Division

Great genuine WWII US Army winter combat jacket, also known as 'tanker jacket'. Initially designed for armored crews, this type soon became popular with all branches of service, particularly amongst officers.

Very good overall condition. Original wool knit collar, waistband and cuffs show signs of repair and Conmar zipper is in working order.

3rd Armored Division shoulder sleeve insignia, embroidered on wool, was sewn during the war.
