Rare genuine WWII US Army grouping, made up of a regulation jacket coming with two sets of matching trousers, two flannel shirts with antigas flaps, one chino shirt, and a pair of combat service boots known as 'buckle boots', which all belonged to some Staff Sergeant Albert D. Anderson, Headquarters, 302nd Infantry Regiment, 94th Infantry Division.
The present 'Ike Jacket' retains its original attributes: 94th Infantry Division shoulder sleeve insignia, Staff Sergeant rank stripes, Overseas Service Bars, Service Stripe, and 'Ruptured Duck'. Label is dated June 17, 1944, size 38R. Name A.D. Anderson, laundry number A-2468 and mention R-HQ have been written in the collar.
The two sets of trousers show different sizes: 32 x 35 for the first one -- in which the above-mentioned name and laundry number are visible -- and 32 x 35 for the second. Both 'Special' shirts (size 14 1/2 x 33) are adorned with the 94th Infantry Division shoulder sleeve insignia, whereas the chino shirt only features Staff Sergeant rank stripes.
The buckle boots make a nice homogeneous pair (size 9 1/2 A).
Great lot in very good, worn condition, retaining all original buttons.
Albert Duval Anderson was born on June 14, 1910 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in a family of Swedish descent and joined the US Army on December 9, 1942 (ASN 33472468). He went on to serve with Headquarters, 302nd Infantry Regiment, 94th Infantry Division and deployed to Europe from August 6, 1944 to November 25, 1945. He was discharged four days later as a Staff Sergeant and passed away on January 13, 1977.
