Label is dated June 30, 1943. Size: Medium.
Worn condition; but still pretty pliable, found in Normandy.

Eli Herrera Perez was born on October 21, 1923 in Cimarron, Kansas and joined the US Army in 1942. He earned his 'jump wings' and went on to serve with Company F, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, parachuting into Normandy on D-Day (Mortar Squad, 3rd Platoon). He was hospitalized in February 1945 due to trench foot, and was later discharged a Technician 5th Grade. A recipient of the Bronze Star, he passed away on July 20, 2011.
