Parka, Ski, Reversible, Fur Trimmed, 1943, FSSF
Genuine WWII US Parka, Ski, Reversible, Fur Trimmed (khaki and white), made up of a double layer of water-repellent poplin. This final model was adopted in 1942, featuring wolf fur around the hood edge, three buttons and a drawstring at the collar and two large side pockets with buttoned flap. The present parka features a front zipper, added at the time (broken). Original label still present, manufactured by Foster Bros. Sportswear Co., Inc. and dated April 30, 1943. Size: Medium.
This type was, among others, issued to the First Special Service Force (FSSF) in 1943-1944 and to various Army units during the Battle of the Bulge in 1944.
