Scarce genuine WWII US Navy cast iron manufacturer's plate coming from LCT(5)-277. Built by The Missouri Valley Bridge & Iron Company in Leavenworth, Kansas, this Landing Craft, Tank (Mark 5) entered the service on November 4, 1942.

The ship was assigned to LCT Flotilla Nine and deployed to the Mediterranean, where she participated in the operations in Sicily (July 9-15, 1943) and in the landings at Salerno (September 9-29, 1943). LCT(5)-277 later took part in the landings at Anzio (January 29-March 1st, 1944) prior to being transferred to Southern France for Operation Dragoon (August 15-September 10, 1944).
