

Genuine WWII US Navy M1 helmet, front seam and swivel loops, manufactured by Schlueter, shell number 468A. Original 2nd pattern canvas chinstrap with steel buckle and hook. Name R.R. McKim , which has been painted in red letters on the front of the shell, has also been stamped in black ink several times on both the inner and outer surfaces.
Comes along with its original liner, manufactured by Seaman Paper Co., which retains its khaki cotton web suspension and neckband, as well as its blackened-brass A washers. Same name R.R. McKim appears on the front and at the rear. Nice homogeneous set in quite good, worn condition.
Ralph Richard McKim was born on May 28, 1921 in Waterloo, Iowa and passed away on April 14, 2008. He served in the US Navy under service number 634-73-81. In June 1945, he appears on the muster roll of the USS Dayton (CL-105) -- a light cruiser which deployed to the Pacific -- as an Aviation Machinist's Mate 2nd Class.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
