Genuine WWII US Navy MK 2 helmet, complete with leather chinstrap.
The Mark 2, designed in 1942, is a very large helmet to wear though it did serve its purpose very well. It was designed to accommodate headphones for radiomen or anyone using shipboard sound-powered phones. It was manufactured by the McCord Radiator Company in Detroit, Michigan. This helmet is in great shape. Paint and cork are very good with no scratches and no spots. The correct leather chin strap is also present with copper wire hooks to attach to the helmet.
Excellent condition, minor rust. Includes original chin strap.
Non-magnetic Hadefield manganese steel. The liner is composed of a vinyl rubber material by Firestone and B.F. Goodrich. The chinstrap is of horse leather and the slider-buckles are made of non-corrosive aluminium. The chincup has a chamois leather layer.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
