Nice genuine WWII US Navy senior officer white cap. The bullion oak leaves adorning the visor were intended for the ranks of Commander and Captain.

Good, worn condition; retains its original cap badge, chinstrap and buttons; size 7 1/8. 

The name tag still present in this cap indicates that it once belonged to some Donald Stagg Clinchy.

Donald Stagg Clinchy was born on January 5, 1901 in New York City and joined the US Navy on February 15,1942. He was discharged on September 23, 1945 as a Lieutenant Commander, and passed away on December 22, 1990.
