Beachpack, Medical, US Navy, PhM2c Kenneth Fall, MTO
Rare genuine WWII US Navy medical beachpack, made in khaki heavy duty canvas, intended for carrying the Type 14-030 suitcase, which contained frontline medical supplies.
This type was used by the Naval Beach Battalions on Utah Beach and Omaha Beach on D-Day.
Quite good, used condition; shoulder straps have been cut off.
Rank Ph.M.2/c, name K.H. Fall and mention 5A Aid Station and Disp. have been written on the present bag.
Kenneth Harold Fall was born on November 30, 1922 in Ossipee, New Hampshire and joined the US Navy on December 11, 1942 (service number 573-14-26). His name appears on the muster rolls of LST-501 and LST-387, as well as Naval Operating Base in Palermo, Sicily, and Advanced Amphibious Training Base in Bizerte, Tunisia. He was discharged on as a Pharmacist's Mate 1st Class, and passed away on August 30, 2004.
