Very rare genuine WWII US Navy parka jacket, initially intended for being worn as a decontamination outfit.

Featuring a hood and a four-button closure on the front, this white cotton cloth parka was later dyed in a light green or light blue shade for the D-Day landings.

Very good, worn condition; one of the buttons is missing.

Shoulder width: 19.3in.

See Michel De Trez's and Tyler Elliott's book, Utah Beach - Fighting Our Way Ashore - with the 2nd Naval Beach Battalion (pp. 178-183).
