Cap, Flying, Winter, Type B-2, USAAF, Named
€325.00
Tax included
Genuine WWII USAAF Type B-2 winter flying cap, without any label. Seems to correspond to size 7. Name Abrams has been handwritten under the visor.
This type became popular with both aircrews and ground crews soon after its introduction in 1939. Made of one-forth-inch sheep shearling, it was worn through the end of the war in most theaters of operations despite efforts to limit is use to ground personnel. Commonly referred to as the 'gunners' cap', this is one of the most iconic and instantly recognizable items of headgear.
Quite good, worn condition.
