€450.00
Tax included
Interesting genuine WWII unidentified metal part, showing an inverted and hand-painted version of the 365th Fighter Group insignia, 9th Air Force.
The present disc is about 6in in diameter and 0.2in-thick, and features three short threaded rods at the back.
Quite good, used condition.
Flying P-47 Thunderbolts, the 365th Fighter Group deployed to England in December 1943 prior to transferring to ALG A-7 at Azeville, Cotentin, Normandy on June 27, 1944. On D-Day, June 6, 1944, the Hell Hawks dive bombed rail and road installations to prevent the arrival of German reinforcements at the beachheads.
