Jacket, Flying, Winter, Type B-6, USAAF, Size 40R, 1942
Rare genuine WWII US Army Air Forces Type B-6 winter flying jacket, made in shearling.
Standardised in June 1939 along with the Type A-5 trousers, the present jacket features a Talon front zipper, a pair of leather shoulder loops, two slit pockets, two small Crown zippers on the sides, and a collar strap fitted with a pin buckle.
Mannufactured by Aero Leather Clo. Co. 1942-dated contract. Size 40R.
Quite good, worn condition; a small tear is worthy of note, located on the right shoulder. All zippers are in working order.
