Extremely rare and amazing genuine WWII US Army five-cell grenade pouch, intended for being placed over the cartrdige belt thanks to the five wide canvas loops located at the rear. Each compartment, featuring a flap with a Lift-the-Dot fastener, was designed for containing one single Mk II hand grenade.
In all likelihood, this type, which is sometimes considered as the scarcest US piece of gear of the period, was exclusively issued to and used by the 27th Infantry Division in the Pacific Theater of Operations.
The present grenade carrier is complete and in mint condition. Manufactured by J.Q.M.D. and dated 1944.
Grenades are not included.
