Great genuine WWII US russet leather shoulder holster, intended for the Colt M1911A1 pistol, .45 caliber.
This private-purchase version features a specific emplacement designed for carrying a spare magazine.
Complete and in excellent overall condition; snap fastener is in working order.
Name Roland J. Whiterell and ASN 31456025 have been stamped at the rear.
Roland John Whiterell was born on March 22, 1916 in Worcester, Massachusetts and joined the US Army on March 17, 1944. He went on to serve with 605th Tank Destroyer Battalion and deployed to Europe, where he was wounded by shrapnel in the hand in March 1945. He was discharged on March 1st, 1946 as a Staff Sergeant, and passed away on September 14, 2005.
