Bayonet, M1 Garand, PAL 1943, Shortened

Genuine WWII US M1942 bayonet for the M1 Garand rifle, manufactured by PAL in 1943 (see hallmark on the left side of the ricasso) and subsequently shortened.

This type was redesignated M1 in March 1943.

The present bayonet is in quite good, used condition and comes in its original OD bakelite scabbard.
