Genuine WWII US Army M1938 scabbard, intended for carrying the M1 Garand and other rifles aboard various types of vehicles. Dated 1942.
Made up of a thick russet leather sheath, normally fitted with two straps featuring snap hooks, this item was particularly used on motorcycles.
Quite good overall condition; the very top has been slightly cut off in order to grab the rifle more quickly; only one of the two leather straps is still present, yet damaged, and its snap hook is missing.
