Helmet, M-1917, 78th Infantry Division, Meuse-Argonne, St. Mihiel

Superb genuine WWI US Army M-1917 Brodie helmet, featuring a nice insignia of the 78th Infantry Division painted on left-side. Shell is hallmarked 187 Z.D. 

Complete with original liner. Leather chinstrap is damaged.

Activated in August 1917, the 78th Infantry Division landed in France in May 1918 and subsequently participated in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, the Battle of St. Mihiel and the Campaign of Lorraine.
